The Green Room was formed in 2019 as a 501c3 charitable organization. It’s mission is to enhance the culture of our community by supporting, encouraging and showcasing local artists and agriculture through the presentation of high-quality theatrical productions in a diverse and equitable environment.
The goal of The Green Room is to create a unique, one-of-a-kind, sustainable performance venue that celebrates the merging of local arts and agriculture.

-Currently, there are no local theatres producing large scale productions in Flagler County. Our immediate competition is one (1) local theatre with a seating capacity of approximately 50 that produces mostly modern or lesser-known works.
-A successful local theatre company with an approximate seating of 150, recently suffered a catastrophic fire. It is unknown at this point if/when they will rebuild and if they do, what direction their productions will take. The patrons of this theatre are looking for a comparable experience. Our unique venue would not only fit the bill, it would expand and enhance something they already enjoy.
-Our country is experiencing a huge call for sustainability and shopping local. Our venue would capitalize on that belief by building as green as possible, supporting and bringing awareness to local farms and their products, allowing local artists to showcase and sell their work in our venue and by using recycled materials whenever possible in our processes and productions.
- Flagler County is seeing enormous growth. The location we are looking to acquire sits directly inside the western border of the City of Bunnell, also known as “The Crossroads of Flagler County. There are thousands of yet to be developed acres to the west of our desired property.

-Although there are many families moving into the area, the majority of Flagler County is still considered “retirement” age. This demographic is our target audience as they have the most free time and disposable income. The dinner theatre concept also appeals to them as it is a single trip as opposed to finding a place to eat then hoping they make it to the theatre in time for the show.
- Dining in Flagler County is mostly chain restaurants and fast food. Our venue would provide a healthy alternative, with dinner selections changing with each production
-Over the past four (4) years, we have developed a relationship with the Florida Agricultural Museum and its Executive Director in particular. In order to help further their mission, we plan to have a permanent display throughout our venue highlighting the importance of agriculture to Florida’s history.
All the members of our Board and staff are residents of Flagler County. We share a strong appreciation for what our county has to offer and an even stronger vision of what we in turn can offer back to our community.

· Make Flagler County a destination not a pass-through with higher visibility and increased traffic
· Create a “one-stop-shop” for high quality food and entertainment
· Provide an outlet for participation in the theatrical arts as a performer, volunteer or patron
· Support local farms and farmers through continuous sourcing of their products
· Extend marketing and sourcing to St. Johns & Volusia counties
· Involve local elementary students and their agricultural projects
· Involve local high school and college culinary students
Our commitment to sustainable theatre involves three guiding principles:
· A commitment to environmental governance integrated with broader organizational values. This includes assessment of policies, staff responsibilities, procurement, communications and engagement.
· An understanding of environmental impacts and how they influence the attitudes of our organization. This includes measurement, monitoring and analysis.
· Striving to achieve reductions in our environmental impacts from building construction through production processes.
To achieve these goals, we intend to:
· Use green building practices in the construction of our facility with the goal of receiving a LEED certification
· Reuse, recycle and repurpose whenever possible from the construction process through the performance process.
· Locally source our food in order to serve healthy organic meals while cutting down on carbon emissions.
· Digitize printed materials wherever possible.
This is by no means an all-inclusive list. We intend to take any step necessary to be good stewards of our facility, our finances, our community and our planet.
Your support and contributions will help enable us to reach our goals and fund our mission.
